“Housewife”!! Well the moment we hear this word all we think of a woman whose main occupation is running the family’s home – caring and educating her children, cooking and storing food, buying goods the family needs in day to day life, cleaning home, making clothes for the family, etc. and who does not generally maintain employment outside the home. So is this new serial all about this? Yes you guessed it right, Zee TV is all set to bring in a new show for all the Housewives, “Housewife Hai…Sab Jaanti Hai“. Let’s try to find out more about this interesting show.
Suhasi Dhami who shot to fame and ruled millions of hearts as Aabha in ZEE TV’s ‘Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli’ will be playing the main role of Sona aka Housewife. To accompany her Aniruddh Dave will be playing the character of her husband, Kanhaiyya. Aniruddh made his stint in Imagine Tv’s Raajkumar Aaryyan and later he entered channel Sahara One’s Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki to play the role of Deven. And guess what, he is a bindaas, street smart, good natured cop. Will he be like our very own Dabangg Chulbul Pandey? Well, the answer is yes. This role is all inspired by Mr Salman Khan’s character in Dabangg.
So now that you know about the 2 main characters of the show, time to find more about the plot of the show. This show is set in Allahabad where the character of Sona plays the role of a journalist. She is the one who consciously decides to leave her job and be a housewife after getting married. It will be interesting to see how she applies her intelligence to being a smart housewife, plays her cards well and sets an otherwise conflict rich family back on track. Interesting!! To make things more interesting, the veteran film and television actress Himani Shivpuri will be seen as her greedy, self-centred, dominating mother-in-law, ever brimming with snide remarks and sarcasm.
So are you all set to catch this new show on television? Did you know that this show will be replacing “Afsar Bitiya”? ‘Housewife Hai…Sab Jaanti Hai’ is all set to hit the television set today at 7pm. Do let us know your views about this show and also do follow us on Twitter (iDubba).
Top 10 shows as per iTRP (Hindi GECs)
GRPs !!! Wk’51 2012
Some other popular reality based shows:
Ratings – Good for some, bad for some!
According to TAM, Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Star Plus) is topping the charts with 5.1 ratings. Same show is also topping the charts, as per iTRPs.
Balika Vadhu (Colors) and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus) follows the second and third position as per TAM. The wedding drama rated very well for Balika Vadhu! And the time leap worked in a very positive way for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai!
Also, Madhubala (Colors) has awesome drama in store for the audiences. The love-hate relationship between RK-Madhubala is been appreciated! Keep up the good work, team.
Bade Acche Lagte Hain (Sony TV) has been topping iTRP charts since over a month now. Unfortunately TAM ratings tell a different story. This week the show is not even listed in top 10 shows. It’s at number 12 position. Apparently, the show is very popular; online as well as generally. And it is the most googled, discussed and most talked about show at present on Indian TV. All our polls, quizzes and survey reports state the same. So, what went wrong with the numbers??
In reality shows, KBC tops the list, followed by Bigg Boss. But in iTRP charts Bigg Boss is at number 2 position while KBC is at 5th position.
For some shows, iTRPs and TRPs are more or less similar. But, for rest all the numbers tell different story.
Well, what can we say; as in the end it’s all a Number Game!
Why Blue Carpet?
Attendees of the 11th Indian Telly Awards would have been surprised to note a blue carpet rather than a red one when they entered the venue of India’s leading television performance recognition ceremony. Not many knew what it was about.
The decision behind having a blue carpet came about to bring to people’s minds the increasing degradation and pollution of India’s rivers and the government’s apathy towards this rising menace.
Founder of The Indian Telly Awards, Anil Wanvari tweeted: “Why was the red carpet at the 11th Indian Telly Awards blue? Because it was moaning the polluted state of India’s holiest river – Ganga.”
The initiative clearly indicated how even trademark and leading events can be used to highlight certain social issues and causes.
