India’s definitely Got Talent – The first episode of India’s Got Talent just proved it!

The Show started with ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’ where the Hosts of the show Cyrus Sahukar  and Manish Paul introduced the season four of India’s Got Talent and as they said this show will make you Laugh, Cry, Shock you and Entertain you.

This time around the auditions are both indoor (studio) and outdoor, the editors has chosen the crème de la crème performances for you thus during the first show itself you will see jumps and many changes of costumes for the Hosts and the Judges. Since they are not among the badly dressed or styled we really don’t mind, keep it coming :) and as the performances are also worth an eye, keep them coming as well ;)

The Judges Kirron Kher, Karan Johar and Malaika Arora Khan make their grand entrance and are ready to be amazed by the Talent of India. So let’s look at some of the acts that made it through the first round of India Got Talent in first episode.

Shaimak’s Victory Art Foundation:

A group of dancers that has grown from struggles; some are orphans, a dumb kidall in all they have come together to change their life and make a mark on the world through dance.

More than there dance their spirit and passion for dancing was worth appreciation. Waiting for their next performance :)

Chanchal Bharti: Qawali

Chanchal Bharti and her team earned a standing ovation from the judges and since it was such a romantic qawali atmosphere. Kirron Kher and Malaika graced the stage with the hosts to make Karan’s Picture perfect. :)

Tanya and Mukesh Tiwari: Rope Malkham

This aerial performance will awe you. No words can describe the performance of this couple; just view it to enjoy it!

Reshma: Age 5: walked on a Rope

This performance will twitch your heart a little. The girl for whom the yes and no from the judges really didn’t matter because for her they were another set of spectators; has passed the first round of India’s Got Talent with flying colours and wet eyed judges. While Malaika will paint her nails red like her, special guest Kareena announced her winner of this competition.

Sagittarius group: Archery Group

While Kirron is scared in almost every daring event, this one scared the wits out of all three judges as towards the end of the act the archers aimed at balloons right above the Judges head. All three of them bent below their dais shouting for their saviours to do something.

The Group is going to the next level while the Judges wants them to be far apart from their area and the group has promised a shot just near their ear, who will win? :)

So, these five performances made it to the next level while others failed to impress the judges. It was a fun filled episode with Talent and Entertainment. While the show in its very first episode has also raised a question in the mind of its fans: Whether Reshma the five year should have been promoted to next round or not? There is a debate in the general public. The judges who were touched by the sad story of the little girl and her father could have easily supported her for a better life, so was it necessary to lead her to next episode and make her part of this tough competition.

Well in my view it was a fair decision to promote her to next level. While the judges could support her for a better life and education but there are many others like Reshma, who will support them? At least this way Reshma could be an inspiration for all those to try and make it large in their life.

Tell us your view on the first episode of India’s Got Talent season 4 and on the budding controversy about Reshma. Till then Keep Watching, Keep Enjoying and Keep Reading.

Back to Back Reality Shows – Karan Johar to Judge India’s Got Talent 4

The Reality showKeada’ has bitten Karan Johar aka KJo as he is all set to Judge another Reality Show India’s Got Talent. The Blockbuster Judge of Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5 will Judge another Reality show – India’s Got Talent very soon.

Confirming this news was his tweet which said

Shooting for ‘India’s Got Talent 4′!!! It’s back to back reality television

This season Karan has made his way by replacing Dharmendra, so the Trio will now be Kiron Kher, Karan Johar and Sonali Bendre and we have also heard that Sonali will be replaced by Malaika Arora Khan whom Karan has replaced this season in Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5. Well in this entire replacing confusion one thing is clear that demand for Karaj Johar on smaller screen is getting as big as his big screen movies.

Karan Johar is not new to TV. His show Koffee with Karan has garnered lots of C’s…Celebrities, Comic timing and Controversies including. His upfront humble comments could leave anybody speechless. Somehow he can say words like ‘seductive’ and ‘sexy’ on the sets of a family Reality TV show Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5 and nobody minds (even Salman Khan pointed that out while his visit on the show to promote Ek Tha Tiger). How far will this Vocabulary take Karan and India’s Got Talent 4 on the real stage of Viewership and TRPs?

What we are also wondering is that it took a while for Karan to settle for a permanent ‘Takia Kalam’ for Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5, Blockbuster or Beyond Blockbuster. So is Karan taking that terminology to India’s Got Talent 4 or will he be building a new Vocab suited to that reality show?

All said and done, Karan correctly quotes ‘Its back to back reality television’ because Jhalak Dikhla Ja 5 just had some wild card entries which have allotted it some more weeks of Dancing with the stars and India’s Got Talent 4 is just few weeks away from its grand start. Undoubtedly the ‘Keeda’ of Judging the Reality Shows has bitten Karan Johar, and we must say it has bitten hard!. ;)

Whatever it may be, we can guarantee you one thing lots and lots of Talent is coming your way because India definitely has Talent! Keep watching this space for more updates and insight on India Got Talent 4.

It was also time for the audience to see the 3 judges in action, that included Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar. There were 13 contestants on the show which included, Darsheel Safary, Archana Vijaya, Isha Sharvani, Sanath Jayasuriya, Gurmeet Choudhary, Talat Aziz, Shibani Dandekar, Ravi Kishan, Jayati Bhatia, Pratyusha Banerjee, Bharti Singh, Gia Manek. And there was some suspense that  was created for the 14th participant, and it was none other than KBC Winner Sushil Kumar.

So did you miss the opening episodes of the show? Well dont worry, iDubba is here to give you the review of the opening week. The opening episode of season five was as good as an award function. The huge set did create a larger than life feel along with an impressive line-up of celebrities. A host of TV and Bollywood celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Shaan, Sonu Sood, Malaika Arora Khan and Ayushmann Khurrana were invited to introduce the contestants. Another highlight of the show was a power-packed performance by Remo and Terence Lewis, who danced together on the “Singham” title track. It was a two-hour, star-studded show and was full of Bollywood masala. But at times there was a feeling that the audience would have got confused as to who were the real contestants. Were you also confused?
Well, lets move on to the second episode of the season 5 of ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa‘. The second episode did present some electrifying performances by Madhuri Dixit, Remo D’Souza and Karan Johar. And soon it was time for the celebrity contestants and their choreographers to impress the audiences with their moves. Well if you thought that there was just dance, well as expected the famous Gazal singer Talat Aziz did end up doing what he is best at – “Singing”.  Well there was more, Stand-up comedian Bharti Singh turned out to be one of the most entertaining celebrities, and also did perform well with her dancing moves. But the surprise package was Sri Lankan master blaster Jayasuriya who took to the stage, the audience and the judges by storm. The judges actually did give him a standing ovation.
Jhalak Dikhhla Ja created a lot of buzz on the social media sites and also a lot of views and feedback was circulated. There were fans who said that ‘Jhalak’ should experiment with some new choreographers as it gets a little boring to see the same faces year after year. Also some are of the opinion that it gets tough to sit through a two-hour television show. Well  the show promises to be bigger and better than the previous seasons. But Is ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa‘ season 5 really bigger and better? Let’s wait and watch what the future episodes have in store for us.
Do send in your feedback and views regarding ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa‘ season 5.
Happy Dancing and Viewing

The shows format is taken from the “Strictly Come Dancing” show on BBC One in UK, which has been a huge success in over 30 countries like America, Australia, New Zealand, and Italy, where it is known as Dancing with the Stars. The Indian version has been extensively remodeled to appeal to the country’s viewers and India is the only country to not have live music with an in-house band.

Coming back to Madhuri, she had co-judged the last season (4) with Remo D’Souza and Malaika Arora Khan. However, the co-judges of Madhuri Dixit for the fifth season are yet to be finalized. The show, which was previously aired on Sony TV since 2006, will now be broadcasted on Colors.

So here we go:

  • In the first look promos for Jhalak Dikhala Jaa 5, Madhuri will be seen giving a tribute to the divas of yesteryears starting with the 60′s superstar Meena Kumari
  • The song “Thade Rahiyo” from Pakeezah is one number which mesmerized us and now, it is with this very song, that Madhuri pays homage to Meena Kumari
  • The promo will see Madhuri in a shimmering pink anarkali outfit performing to the song in true Meena Kumari style
  • The sets will replicate the Pakeezah look – right from the fountains to the pond with floating candles, lights etc

It will not be wrong to say that Madhuri is one actress who can do a disco and a mujra with the same finesse. So are you all set to shake your hips and move your feet with the new season of Jhalak Dikhala Jaa? Well we will be back with some more information about the celebrity participants soon.

Till then …. Happy Viewing.
