A show is all about the a social custom of 'Child Marriage' which is still followed in some part of India.

The program featuring the 'Balika Vadhu' traces the difficult journey of child bride Anandi from the brink of childhood to womanhood of Rajasthan. Married at the tender age of eight, to an equally young Jagdish, she enters a new world which is at once alienating and confusing. and torn away from the merriment of childhood and her family, she has to accept and accustom herself to this new family of strangers, new relationships and accept her roles as a friend, wife and lover as she forges her way in the world.

'Balika Vadhu' very sensitively portrays the plight of children who are unwittingly forced into marriage, in the name of tradition, and have to bear the repercussions for the rest of their lives.

I just love the show. Anandi, a child bride who wants to go to school but her parents get her married with the same age boy Jagya. They get married like a playing a game but soon they start facing the problems that comes in a marriage but Anandi faces most difficulties like cooking food and other household works. Jagya go to school but she can't. She has to follow the unwanted traditions. But the good part is her husband Jagya becomes her best friend and her mother-in-law supports her. A show about customs like Child Marriage which really needs to be banned from all over India but still is following by many people and in many parts of the country.
